gpn11 Foreclosures STATE OF GEORGIA NOTICE OF SALE UNDER POWER COUNTY OF NEWTON A default having occurred under the terms of the Promissory Note from ADAM CARNES to NEWTON FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION (in the original principal sum of $72,000.00) dated December 9, 2003, secured by a Deed to Secure Debt of even date therewith recorded in Deed Book 1582, pages 410-414, Newton County Records, and the entire indebtedness having been declared due and payable as therein provided, under the powers contained in said deed and in accordance with the terms thereof, there will be sold on the courthouse steps in said county at public outcry, during the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in June, 2017, to the highest bidder for cash, the following described property, to wit: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 134, 10th District, Newton County, Georgia, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin stake on the north side of Brown Bridge Road a distance of 400 feet, as measured in a westerly direction from the west side of Jack Neely Road along the northern side of Brown Bridge Road; thence in a westerly direction along the northern side of Brown Bridge Road a distance of 200 feet to an iron pin stake; thence due North a distance of 235 feet to an iron pin stake; thence South 83 degrees 30 minutes East a distance of 200 feet to an iron pin stake; thence due South a distance of 235 feet to the northern side of Brown Bridge Road and the point of beginning, all according to plat of survey for MacArthur Williamson by George W. O' Neill, GA RLS No. 1142, dated February 27, 1973, and recorded in Plat Book 11, page 60, public records of Newton County, Georgia, which plat is by reference thereto incorporated herein and made a part hereof for a more particular and complete description. Notice of the initiation of this proceeding has been given to the said ADAM CARNES as required by Georgia Laws 1981, p. 834 (O.C.G.A. Section 44-14-162.1 et. seq.). This property is being sold as the property of ADAM CARNES subject to unpaid ad valorem taxes. The proceeds of said sale shall be distributed in accordance with the terms of said Deed to Secure Debt.
