ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
TOWN OF TALLULAH FALLS
STATE OF GEORGIA
The Town of Tallulah Falls will be accepting sealed proposals for purchase of the old Georgia Power building located at 11785 North Highway 441 Tallulah Falls, Georgia (more particularly described on that certain deed filed in Deed Book S-41 at page 101 in the office of the Rabun County Clerk of Courts).
Sealed proposals shall be received by the Town of Tallulah Falls in the City Clerk's office located at City Hall, 255 Main Street, Tallulah Falls, Georgia 30573, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on March 15, 2017 and ending at 5:00 p.m. on April 5, 2017. Bids will be opened at Tallulah Falls City Hall on April 6, 2017 during the Regular Council Meeting, beginning at 6:00 p.m., in the Executive Session. The winning bid will be announced immediately following the Executive Session to the highest responsible bidder.
No bid proposals received after the time period shown above will be accepted.The bid will consist of purchasing the entire building and surrounding lands in "AS IS" condition subject to the following requirements:
1) Tallulah Falls shall have the right to reject any and all bids or to cancel any proposed sale.
2) All cash at closing.
3) A 10% Buyer's Premium.
4) Bid Blanks and copies of the proposed Commercial Purchase and Sale Agreement are available at the Town of Tallulah Falls City Hall located at 255 Main Street, Tallulah Falls, Georgia.
The purchase of this property will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder. No bid proposals shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the bid opening.
The Town of Tallulah Falls reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to wave minor informalities, to modify or re-advertise the Sale or to cancel the proposed Sale.
