NOTICE OF SALE UNDER POWER THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO COLLECT A DEBT. ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE. COUNTY OF BACON STATE OF GEORGIA By virtue of the Power of Sale contained in the Deed to Secure Debt from JANIE BATTEN to FNB South N.A., dated April 29, 1987 recorded in Deed Book 165, Pages 4-6, Clerk=s Office, Bacon County, Georgia, there will be sold by the undersigned at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash before the courthouse door at Bacon County, Georgia, within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in September, 2016, the following described property: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 5th Land District of Bacon County, Georgia, and in the City of Alma, Georgia and containing one eighth (1/8) of an acre, and bounded now or formerly as follows: On the North by 15th Street; East by land of Mrs. Ellis; on the south by lands of Mrs. Lena Courson; and on the West by lands of Mrs. Lucinda Curl, being 105 feet from North to South and being a part of Land Lot 282 in said district and county, and being the same tract of land conveyed to J.W. Hancock by Mrs. Mimmie Smith under date of November 17, 1919, except the certain southern portion of said lands heretofore conveyed by James E. Tanner to Mrs. A. F. Courson, said conveyance being shown in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Bacon County, Georgia. Property address: 410 W. 15th Street, Alma, GA Map and Parcel # A07-113028 Said Deed to Secure Debt having been given to secure notes dated April 29, 1987 in the original principal amount of $2,500.00 and a note dated October 22, 2009 in the amount of $19,103.33 with interest from date at the rate as specified therein. The debt secured by said Deed to Secure Debt has been and is hereby declared due because of among other possible events of default, failure to pay in accordance with the terms of said notes. The debt remaining in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same and all expenses of the sale, including attorney=s fees.
